How Music Impacts Memory Recognition Tasks

This study investigates if memory recognition is affected by music. For my study I had participants match playing cards for one round with their favorite song, for another their least favorite song, and for the last round in a quiet environment. As the participant matched the cards, I recorded the time for each round. My anticipated results would show that participants can match the cards faster in a quiet environment and/or show faster times for the favorite music round. This study can also imply that there’s a better environment for memory recognition tasks.
