FortShirley_Final_11292017.xlsx

Penn State Archaeology Field School students in the 2009-2014 seasons rediscovered and excavated Fort Shirley, a French and Indian War frontier fortification established by George Croghan near present day Shirleysburg, PA. Analysis of the animal bone recovered from these excavations was undertaken by Penn State graduate student Martin Welker in association with undergraduate students Kristi Bartolome, Grace Bratlee, Paige Lynch, and volunteer Joanne Hughes.
