BULK TRANSPORT OF ANTHRACITE REFUSE

Special Research Report SR-93 The purpose of this transportation study is two-fold. The first objective is to determine primary decision criteria affecting the use of rail, truck,and pipeline transportation of anthracite refuse. The second objective is to interrelate the studies of the three transportation methods and their respective decision criteria. The origin and location of anthracite refuse banks are reviewed and reasons for disposing of anthracite refuse and the current uses of anthracite refuse are presented.
